We’ve just launched a private beta of a new feature we believe will revolutionize the way you digest your social stream.  It’s called Socialzine and it’s a transformative way to view your social stream that lays out the content being shared in your Facebook and Twitter streams in a beautiful magazine style layout.  We love it and we think you will as well.  Want to be one of a small group of private beta testers? Here’s a sneak peak:

Socialzine will be supported in the private beta in our Desktop App (Mac & Win), Firefox Add-on and Chrome Extension versions.  We’ll also eventually add the feature to our iPhone and iPad apps but those aren’t supported for the beta. We can only accept a limited number of beta testers so download the version you would like to test today:

[the links below were updated on Sept. 2011 for the new beta release]

To launch Socialzine (Firefox or Chrome):

  1. Ensure you have at least one Facebook or Twitter account connected to Yoono
  2. After installing the new build and launching, click the small magazine icon in the thin bar at the left hand side of Yoono (immediately under the Menu button with the wrench on it)
To launch Socialzine (Desktop App):
  1. Ensure you have at least one Facebook or Twitter account connected to Yoono
  2. After installing the new build and launching, click on the “Socialzine” tab at the top
Note that you will likely see some layout issues in the beta such as missing content (empty space where an image should be for example) and page layouts that are not completely optimized – we’ll be working on improving this before launch but feel free to send us any specific issues you see, particularly URLs where we’re retrieving incomplete or incorrect content.
Please let us know if you have any trouble installing and enjoy!  We will have a survey at some point in the testing period and would appreciate it if you could fill it out once we do but you can also always send your feedback to feedback@yoono.com at any time.
